Once satiety is reached, they will forego feeding for a day or a day and a half, every 4-6 days, depending on the animal. Interestingly, my personal experience is that when dogs are on a high quality/raw diet, they cease begging for people food. This is probably my biggest complaint ...Good Blog! This is probably my biggest complaint with dog owners. I used to have a corgi, who was an eating machine. When she came to live with me she was around 6lbs overweight. I started walking with her daily and kept her on a strict diet (no extras). She lost weight, lived to be 14 years old and was still hiking with me until her last 6 months. While my poodles are thin, they have all been crazy active, fit, and happy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
