Enough can't be said about diet and exercise for both dogs and humans.

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDogFANCY the Red Standard Poodlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17369189341017481001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6517697125324333905.post-27552050060525798852013-08-08T13:00:05.536-07:002013-08-08T13:00:05.536-07:00Recently I've been surprised to hear a few SPo...Recently I've been surprised to hear a few SPoo owners (and one of them a vet!) point to very (very!) "tubular" SPoos and say something to the idea of "I let him free feed because he doesn't gain weight" or "He's a big guy but at least he's not fat"...I'm never sure if I should laugh or cry. Thanks for the reality check, Sherri; I especially liked that you clarified it for those needing some objective limit: "If you can't feel the ribs at all...well, your dog is too fat."Sophraeanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6517697125324333905.post-85364197734433738472013-08-08T08:10:42.282-07:002013-08-08T08:10:42.282-07:00Love it. When I grow out her hair she looks chubby, but when I shave her down she looks skinny. My vet said she is just the perfect size for her height that is a few inches shorter from her parents.
I do agree with you I do see a lot of dog breeds come into the grooming shop I work at that our over weight. It's hard for them to stay standing or get up on the table. Kathrynnoreply@blogger.com
