I was feeling just a little bit sorry for myself and missing all my friends and family back home in Canada. Reading your article was a reminder that I have much to be thankful for in my life.

I have had the privilege to help dogs that have been through horrible situations. With care, love, and patience I have witnessed dogs transformed from abuse, injury and fear into beautiful, confident, loving and loyal friends. Dogs that went on to their forever homes where they have made a difference in the lives and hearts of their new families. My son would say, "mom cries when they come in and she cries when they go home".

I have also been blessed to have had 3 heart dogs in my life so far. My doberman Piper that passed at age 13, my whippet Cinder that passed at age 13 and my beautiful spoo Bella that I now share my heart and my life with. She is the most amazing girl and she is the smile in my heart.

Thanks again Sherri, for reminding me, I truly have much to be thankful for.Dawnnoreply@blogger.com
