My heart goes out to you, it is a sad reality of the true dog lover. At this time I can't even imagine it being a "good" thing to have reminders of him when he is gone, Although poodles don't shed, there will be tons of other things left behind. !4 years of my past life that was shared with him almost constantly by my side. He was the rock, the one that was always there for me. I'm trying to come to terms with it but it's just not easy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6517697125324333905.post-59676224968286213382013-02-08T08:10:01.274-08:002013-02-08T08:10:01.274-08:00Thank you Candy. It is wonderful that we can draw on memories whenever we need them. :) And yes, the hair will always be there.

SherriSherrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08589104200839188087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6517697125324333905.post-33701516932466646252013-02-08T06:33:26.119-08:002013-02-08T06:33:26.119-08:00As soon as I saw the photo - I knew what you would...As soon as I saw the photo - I knew what you would be writing about. As much as I wished my labs would not shed - they did - and I miss it! When I find a dark brown or even a black hair - it takes me back... I know Cole adored Cowgirl - but I wish my 2 black dogs could have known each other...They are completely different - but have also much in common - like being slobs at the water dish!
When CG passed my dear vet handed me a small plastic bag with some of her hair in it & I said "Never had a a lab did you Dr. Anne? I will be finding brown hairs for years!"
Thank you for your gifted writing that is so true and real - you have the ability to fire up the emotions - whether pulling at the heart strings, recalling frustrations - or just creating an eagerness to learn.

Indeed - Memories are wonderful things!

Candy Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02358896458162393973noreply@blogger.com
